We stayed here for 3 nights, we arrived to a building site. We were not aware of any of the scheduled maintenance to be done on the property prior to our arrival, had we had known we might have changed accommodation as there was constant noise from the builders throughout the day which is not ideal when arriving from a long haul flight and you need rest. Don't plan on using the restaurant as we were told that his has been closed since covid. We had several issues with our room 504 which included out of order washer, broken kitchen cupboards, completely unsafe hob, no pans or kitchen utensils to cook with even if the hob was safe to use, limited crockery not enough for the 4 people in our party, broken toilet seat. The balcony door was unlocked with no notice to say it couldn't be used, however when I went to speak to reception about a table and chairs we were told it was not to be used due to safety issues and yet on check out were told it could have been used although the hotel do not provide table and chairs for the balcony. I did ask to speak to a manager twice during our 3 night stay but was told none were available. Have since been in contact via email with the manager and have received a partial room refund for issues we had, but I am still chasing them 14 days later for the security deposit that they took on check in to be released back to our credit card, I have made numerous telephone calls and emails and I am still waiting for it to be released. Won't return.

My husband and I recently stayed at 1 Hotel Toronto for a one-night getaway from our kids, and while the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, our overall experience was disappointing. I booked the Skyline View Suite based on the photos advertised. Unfortunately, the room we received did not match the photos. It was missing features shown online, including the desk, and the "skyline view" was quite misleading. Only about a quarter of the view actually overlooked the skyline, while the rest looked out onto the rooftops of older buildings. Considering the premium price of the suite, this was disappointing. The biggest letdown, however, was the rooftop pool experience. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was to relax by the pool and enjoy a day in the sun. When we went up to the rooftop, there were empty lounge chairs available, but we were told we couldn't use them because they were reserved for guests on a waiting list. We were actually asked to get up from the chairs and told we could "try again tomorrow morning." Since we were only staying for one night, that wasn't a realistic option and it completely changed the experience we had hoped for. I want to mention that the hotel was exceptionally clean, and the property itself is beautiful. However, between the misleading room photos and the inability to enjoy one of the hotel's main amenities despite being a paying guest, our stay didn't feel like the relaxing getaway we had planned. Our room was well laid out, clean, bright and air conditioned. In downtown Toronto, there was no noise. The staff were welcoming and helpful. It was great to have breakfast included. Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a non-resort hotel. Amenities are great
