This charming room in Vernazza was a special space for our family of 3 for the couple days we explored Cinque Terra. Like most places in these villages, one had to climb through the narrow, winding walkways and stairs to access the room, but this made it more magical for us once we checked-in and could store our rolling luggage. It was like climbing up into a castle room. While we didn't have much communication with the hosts in the days prior (despite having left a couple messages through the Expedia app as suggested), in the hour before our arrival, we had great WhatsApp comms with the host who sent an excellent video showing the path to take to the apartment allowing us to check in early using the keypad to the building entrance, and then to meet them at a different location for final check-in. While small, the room was perfect for our visit (with good airconditioning and wifi). We would stay here again! Vernazza was well positioned to explore the other villages by walking paths and trains.

The hotel is in a great location and has an excellent private, sandy beach. Rooms are very clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Splendide Riviera in Rapallo was exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean (cleaner than most 5 star hotels in the area), beautifully maintained, and reflects great pride in every detail. What truly sets it apart is the staff—warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. If possible, book the Hemingway Suite. Knowing Ernest Hemingway stayed here while writing Cat in the Rain adds a unique historical touch. A perfect blend of historic charm, elegance, outstanding service, and a prime waterfront location. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rapallo.
