Peaceful paradise
This location is phenomenal for some peace and quiet. Removed just enough to unplug, but still easy access to all things Big Island. Hosts are kind and helpful. Really appreciated the water today (boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc), coolers, wagon, chairs, etc. Layout is great for 2-3 families or multiple generations. We had 2 families plus a grandma. 3 bedrooms on the main for the adults, all kids in the "kids club" upstairs. Kids were so happy. There is a TV upstairs for watching movies but that is all. We appreciated that ;) You are close to other homes and this is a QUIET neighborhood. So please don't come with your party hat on!

Hawaii Family Vacation
Our stay was very good. The house and amenities were great. Catherine and Anna were very helpful and readily available with any questions we had. The area was very accessible to everything we planned on doing. We were even able to go to a Luau. Thank you for everything Anna and allowing us to use your beautiful home.

Perfect location for hunkering down
Vacationing during the pandemic isn't easy, but this house is great. It's secluded, yet it only takes two minutes to walk to a park/snorkeling beach, a rocky swim beach, and the launch points for kayaks/captain cook trips. The kitchen was big/equipped enough to cook for our large (14) group; the wifi reached everywhere in the house; the onsite caretaker and owner were friendly and super-helpful recommending places to see, grocery stores, and restaurants to order from. we loved the privacy. the house was cozy like it was our own home. our two weeks here flew by all too quickly. on the amazing, we're-so-glad-we-found-this-place side: 1) the snorkeling at manini beach was amazing. it's in the same kealakekua bay as captain cook, but it's two minutes away and free. 2) the waves at the rocky beach brought so much joy to our family's swim times. 3) the seclusion from other people brought us peace, and it made us feel safe during this pandemic. Three things to keep in mind as you look at this place: 1) wow, there's lots of insects in this part of hawaii. Most of them didn't bite, but it was disconcerting how they flew/crawled around us on the lanai each evening... 2) the upstairs loft area got pretty hot, and it didn't really have enough fans/cooling options.

Best place on the island
This is a paradise within a paradise. We stayed here with our family, my parents and my brother’s family and we had the best time. Each morning we would walk to the bay or wharf and swim, snorkel or just relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery before we set out for our days adventures. We would come home to a dinner on the lanai and watch the sun set and soak in the sounds of the tropics. It is also very close to gardens, coffee plantations, a Historic National Park and so many more gems. Our hosts were gracious and brought joy to our conversations, we were immediate friends. They bring the true meaning of Aloha into the home. It was truly a beautiful place in so many ways. I can’t say enough. Thank you!
