Car Rental Alt-West

After you've ticked off the interesting sights in Alt-West, there's heaps more to see in the surrounding area. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your luggage in the trunk and get out there. We've pulled together some road trips we're confident you'll love:

• Bamberg is approximately 120 miles from Alt-West. Top-rated sights like Bamberg Cathedral deserve a place on your must-see list while you're in town.
• Roughly 100 miles away, Bayreuth is also popular with travelers. Make sure you check out Bayreuth Festival Theater while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this colorful city.
• Get into the great outdoors and take in the serenity at Warnemunde Beach. It's about 200 miles from Alt-West.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Germany, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:
