• Head off to Brisbane for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. About 45 miles from Surfers Paradise, it's home to lots of amazing attractions, including Suncorp Stadium.
• Your next pit stop? It has to be Sunshine Coast, which is around 95 miles away. Hastings Street is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Spend time in the outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Jetty Beach. It's about 160 miles from Surfers Paradise.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Australia, then it's likely you'll need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:
