Car Rental Taoyuan City Centre

Taoyuan City Centre has plenty to keep you on the move, but don't limit yourself to just the one place. Grab a set of wheels and head off to see what's in the surrounding region. Here are some great options we've come up with:

• Head to Taichung for an excellent sightseeing experience. Roughly 60 miles from Taoyuan City Centre, it has lots of cool sights such as Taichung Park.
• Around 75 miles away, Nantou County is also a favorite with wanderers. Make time to experience Xitou Monster Village while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this city.
• Kenting National Park is approximately 210 miles from Taoyuan City Centre and is one of the region's most breathtaking nature spots. Stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Taiwan, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
