Rooms was spacious and clean and well presented but do need updating, but as I understand it this pub changed hand 6 months ago and I would also prioritise the pub!!. I ended up sleeping in my car. The manager was amazing and stated he only bought property a couple of months ago. I did get a full refund, which was expected as I had to sleep in my car. I sent a video to the owner, which he was shocked as cleaners went in the day before. If that was the case you NEED to sack the cleaners. A little haven just up the road from the bustle of Cardiff where we had a brilliant night seeing the Stereophonics. Adam and all staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive, very friendly locals and a brilliant taxi firm recommended who chauffeured us to and from the gig. The room its self didn’t feel very clean and smelt of curry or something similar. The door was was extremely sticky and had to be almost forced to get both in and out of the room. We stayed in room number 3\. The pictures on Expedia are extremely misleading because the room that I booked looked nothing like the pictures displayed online. There was mould around the bath, the toilet was slanted and felt like you were sliding off of it when you sat down and the cistern at the back of the toilet seemed to be coming away from the wall and there were missing tiles too. We wanted to shower but couldn’t shower as there was no hot water which is absolutely disgusting and there isn’t anyone on site to raise the issues with.
