The best time to go to Careiro Da Várzea is during the dry season, which typically runs from June to October. The dry season offers more predictable weather with less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the Amazon River and its tributaries. The lower water levels during these months expose more beaches and make wildlife viewing, particularly for land animals, more accessible along the riverbanks. This period is excellent for travelers interested in boat tours, fishing, and guided jungle walks.Conversely, the wet season, from November to May, brings higher water levels. While this can make certain areas more navigable by canoe and offers a different perspective of the flooded forests, it also means more rain and potentially fewer exposed land areas for wildlife spotting. Travelers interested in exploring the flooded igapós and igarapés (forests and waterways) by canoe might prefer this time.
