Everything was great we just had a couple of lights out in the bathroom sink area. I didn't say anything but thought they should have changed them when making up the room before we got there.

Rooms were buggy because you can turn off porch light and bugs congregate around and on door. When you open, room gets full. Also, laundry wasn’t fully working, but it was free. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Can’t get any more convenient to Carlsbad Cavern. Easily checked in. You will have to sign a waiver and get wristbands to use the pool. Our stay coincided with the water slides being closed during the week, so the kids just had the pool and splash zone, but they were happy with it. It is an older motel, a little worn around the edges, but it was clean and the room was spacious with a nice sized fridge/freezer and microwave which came in handy. We stopped in Carlsbad for dinner (Domino’s) before checking in. Breakfast is very “continental,” Expedia needs an updated breakfast photo because there is no waffle machine. It was orange juice, milk and coffee with a variety of cereal cups, pre-packaged muffins and fruit. We would stay there again, as it made for a short trip to the caverns and back, and especially convenient to return for the bat flight in the evening. Just be aware food options are very limited in White’s City.

So many little issues I can’t begin to name them. No soap, no cups for tooth brushing or coffee. Cigarette burns on the sheets. The bed was comfortable. Mattress appeared fairly new. Terrible breakfast. Watered down orange juice. Good coffee I’m told. The bananas were unbelievably past their date. Bananas are the cheapest thing they could get fresh daily and made no effort. Would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Generally, we enjoyed staying at Super 8 Wyndham. The room was clean, the fridge worked well, the airconditioner did not want to start at first, but the cleaning lady helped us. The mictowave was kind of busted but still did its job. The drain in the bathroom was clogged and we left a maintenance request immediately. Still, the never fixed it during our three-day stay. Also, I wish the building locked, too, for better safety. So, pretty livable.
