“⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful property, but a few things to know before you book The Sofitel Carrasco is a stunning hotel with elegant decor and a great location. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds feel like sleeping on a cloud — truly exceptional. The location is wonderful and easy to get around from during the day. However, there are a few things worth mentioning for fellow travelers. For a hotel at this price point, it is disappointing that breakfast is not included — you would expect that to……

“Every weekend starting on Fridays they have weddings, and celebrations that are very loud. And they last up to 4 or 5 am. The music, the people and the fireworks!!! Those people usually stay over the weekend, so the dining room is absolutely packed. No respect or consideration for other guests! Not recommended for families or people that want to relax or rest. ”

“Essa foi a nossa segunda viagem para o Hotel Cottage. Tivemos uma ótima experiência com a equipe, com a acomodação em si. O quarto é super confortável, com chuveiro bom, cama boa e de tamanho king, juntamente com ótimos travesseiros. Os funcionários são super atenciosos e podemos conversar em português tranquilamente. O café da manhã é muito bom, porém, sem variações ao longo dos dias. A localização do hotel é muito boa, fica super próximo ao letreiro de Montevideo. ”

“We had a wonderful beach view room in this new hotel. Great bathroom with wonderful shower and bidet toilet! Great food and pastries. Don't let the menu fool you, gourmet tapas, a must try are the camarónes with mushrooms. Amazi. Plus the Viereas,(scallops) awesome. ”

“Breakfast was delicious, the area doesn’t seem to have much going on. But it was safe and in the city. Staff was very helpful. I just felt the bathrooms needed a bit more of scrubbing. Where the soaps hang there was a brown/cream layer of dirt. Other than that, place was fine.”
