“Wonderful staff, very helpful, clean room, superb and sumptuous breakfast, onsite parking, very fast internet. Unfortunately, with an ambient temperature of less than 14 Deg C in the area, and as there was no central heating or availability of a space room heater, the whole night was very cold for us and ended up with a sore throat, despite two layers of blanket over the quilt. It may be normal for locals, but for visitors from warmer part of the world, it`s very uncomfortable.”

“We didn’t receive the check-in details until after the stated check-in time had already passed, which made arrival more stressful than it needed to be. The listing also mentioned breakfast, but no information was provided about it and we were unable to locate it during our stay. We also had trouble with the heating system. The only way we could get the heat to turn off was by turning off the hot water entirely. Additionally, the sofa bed pillows were simply the sofa cushions, which were far too……

“My room was tiny, with poor ventilation, and there was no air conditioning. Despite extreme heat, the staff was unsympathetic and disinterested. Very poor customer service, overpriced, and not as advertised.”

“I love Kinsale. This was my first stay at the Old Bank and I loved it too. Magical to sit and look out over this very pretty town and harbour from the window seat in my beautifully appointed room. I’ve never had a better breakfast than the one included; fresh fruit salad (good variety, perfect quality), eggs Benedict (golden yolks and perfectly poached, perfect ham and proper artisan bread toasted, chef quality hollandaise) and a blueberry muffin(with a surprise centre), everything top quality……

“Caveat emptor! It’s been a while since i have even seen an actual double bed, let alone have to squeeze into one with my partner. Usually when a hotel advertises a double bed, they mean a queen, or even a king. We paid €240 ($400 CDN) for that dubious privilege. If you need to spread out a bit, as we do, it’s not acceptable. Way overpriced. That said, the host was hospitable, the included breakfast good and the location central.”

“If you want a hotel this is one for the books. So clean and attractive. All the conveniences in one. Shopping and restaurants and just a short walk to Blarney Castle. So happy we booked this one. “My husband and I stayed here for two nights while traveling. Front desk was really friendly and helpful! Unfortunately, I ended up being sick for a whole day and missed what the surrounding had to offer. But the hotel bed was very comfortable for me to spend the day in. Also, my husband enjoyed the Leisure center while I rested.”
