Naturalist a hidden treasure
The hotel is right on the beach. We were there during low season so very few actual restaurants were open. There is a small grocery across the beach, so you can purchase essentials. There is also lots of very fresh and wonderful street food. We had two rooms that connect. I think they were the Whale and Crows Nest. Crows nest is a tiny room with a double bed and an outdoor kitchen with an amazing view. The Whale was very large and had two double beds and an inside kitchen. My only complaint was their was barely silverware for 3 people. The bay was amazing! The water is clear and warm. The waves were extremely gentle. The drive to Castara is not for the amateurs. The road is very windy and you drive on the left hand side. We thought it was worth it. Castara is beautiful, quiet, and the people are very friendly.
