"Photographs do not do Can Xicarro Villa justice. It is absolutely breathtaking as the gates open and you enter the driveway up to the villa. The scale of the building and its grounds, which are all kept in perfect condition, cannot be appreciated until visited. The heat was stifling and it was almost impossible to sleep at night with small windows, many of which did not have mosquito nets and only fans to recirculate hot air - I have never come back from a two week holiday as tired - some form of air conditioning is a must here.
