"They were very friendly, the rooms were clean and had personal touches. My only disappointment was my room did not have an upper lock or safety measure of any kind. There were holes from were that had been one. Being a solo female traveler, I actually put a chair in front of the door. Don't get me wrong the environment was not scary, but I certainly don't trust only having a door knob lock. "

"A little slice of heaven on Lake Norman! This home comfortably held 9 adults and 2 kids for a Thanksgiving vacation. The property is well-maintained - we loved the hot tub, pool (yes, even in November!), mini golf, and fishing off the dock. Our family LOVED the theater room! From football game viewing, to holiday movies, to a family meeting - it was a great spot for us to enjoy time together. The owners answered all of our questions - they were very quick to respond. When the gas fireplace went out, the owners had the gas company out to investigate in record time (propane tank just needed to be refilled). When I needed to find the mixer, the owner pointed me to the right place in the pantry. The level of service truly felt like I was a guest in their home, not just a transaction. Location was perfect to explore smaller towns like Newton, Catawba, Davidson, and Mooresville.Would love to come back during the summer when we could use the pool and lake more!"

"I made a big mistake booking through EXPEDIA...no refund when we had to leave one day early due to a snowstorm hitting.....we are currently snowed in with more on the way. EXPEDIA will never be my booking of choice. Sad policy not to at least refund a portion....weather conditions should be an exception to their strict, unheard of policy."

"My one comment is that there was noone at the checkin desk when I arrived and the app advised that I needed help from them to complete my checkin. Luckily I figured things out but having a sign welcoming guests, rather than a person, was a disappointing and inconvenient experience. I arrived at around 7:30 PM so it was not a late, late night arrival. Every other aspect of my stay was extremely positive, and hte young lady who on staff at checkout was friendly, professional and did an excellent job."
