The staff were genuinely friendly, not fake polite like in some places. They offered to help carry my bags, gave me directions to local spots, and always greeted me with a smile. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference.The pool area looked great, and the breakfast had lots of options. For the price, this place easily beats others nearby. Previously I lived at different hotels but this I like best at the price I pay.If you care about cleanliness, this motel won’t disappoint. The rooms, bathrooms, and even the hallways looked spotless. Overall, it’s fine for what it is, especially for the price. I would describe it as more of an “elevated motel” than a true hotel. The property itself is quite run down and definitely shows its age, but it covers the basics. The bed was clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Beyond that, there’s not much to it. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and professional. I didn’t have a bad experience with them at all, and they did their best to make guests feel welcome. It’s just that at a certain point, their friendliness can’t fully make up for how tired and dated the property feels. If there’s another place available at a similar price when booking, I would definitely look elsewhere. I wouldn’t hate staying here again if it was the only option, but honestly, it probably wouldn’t even make my list next time.

Bed was comfortable. Hotel was clean and desk attendant was very pleasant. Breakfast was good with waffles, toast and muffins, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice, cereal, and yogurt. There were lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. Would stay here again.

I liked that there were many stores and food locations conveniently located near the hotel. However, the hallways to the rooms — including the rugs, walls, and doors — would benefit from a more modern design to create a better overall appearance. I believe that with these updates, the hotel would attract many more reservations.

The staff was great, but the condition of the hotel was not good. There was loose paint on the carpet where they did not use covering. There was a dead bed bug on the inside lining of the sheets. The pillow cases were dirty.

You can tell the owners care about the property. It's an old facility, but taken care of. Aside from the sticky floor, our room was clean & comfortable. The pool was perfect for my 7 year old & never anyone else in it. We didn't get down for breakfast before 9am most days, but there seemed to be a nice variety. Lots of shopping & dining supper close by. Try Granite City for a meal - yum! Definitely would stay here again, for the money savings vs other options.

I had a wonderful stay at this AmericInn hotel! The room was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed for a short stay. Room was very clean, Breakfast served was very nice & fresh. The staff is very friendly & cooperative. The owners are doing renovation in my view after completing the renovation the hotel looks good. They finish renovation very soon. Definitely recommend for the nice stay.
