SORELY in need of upkeep, updating, and repair.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Sadly, nothing. Avoid this place and spend the extra money on one of several nicer hotels close by.
Cons: Pretty much everything. This was a poor experience, from start to finish. The staff definitely knows about these problems, yet they persist.
Some issues that presented themselves during a two day stay: - Almost all of the furniture was damaged. A desk leg was snapped inwards, the desk chair had rips in the leather, another chair had obvious damage to its frame, drawers were left sagging and open because they physically could not be shut, both queen sized beds had damage to their box frames, leaving annoying and obvious sags in the mattresses. One has to wonder about exactly what goes on in this room. - Burned out and non-matching light bulbs, producing dim/uneven lighting. The main light fixture over the bed was bent and twisted. - The shower curtain was too small for the shower and had obviously been torn from trying to stretch it to fit. The shower curtain rail was rusted and sagging on its wall mounts. Towel racks were flimsily attached to the wall. - The toilet ran very loudly at first, then overflowed from the tank while I was out one evening, completely covering the bathroom floor in water. - I discovered a large wet spot on the carpet and visible puddles of some kind of liquid on the top of the nightstand. - In spite of being a smoke free establishment, the entire hotel smelled very strongly of smoke and mildew/mold, especially in the hallways. - Hotel staff was OK, if apathetic. When informed about the toilet running over, the desk employee flatly told me to close the main valve to the water tank and offered some towels and a trash bag for clean up. Felt like this wasn't the first time this had happened.

You get what you paid for.

The pillow cases had hair on them, the chairs inside the room had holes and the walls needed to be renovated.

Price Is Right

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Everything. See above.
1 night stay, won't be back. Saddleback beds roll you to the center. Air conditioning noise was like continually throwing pots and pans down the stairs. A/C temp control was missing. Faucet shot a narrow jet stream that could not be modulated. Huge wait time to check out due to front desk staff that were baffled about doing their job.

Would have slept better on a rock

Posted Jul 9, 2015
The elderly lady that checked me in was OK, but the one that checked me out was too busy eating her biscuit to do do much ore than gruntil at me when I handed her the key cards. The best were awful! I sank so far down in one that you could lay a piece of plywood over me and it would have been level with the top edges if the mattress. The other bed was only slightly better. The room was clean enough, but smelled of cleaning solution. Will NOT stay here again. I've spent a lot of time on the road, but this was the worst.

A good deal.

Posted Jul 4, 2015
The hotel is a good deal. The front desk person was not very friendly, but she was helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. Some repairs are needed, like the shower head that is loose / not properly attached to the wall.

Good hotel for road trip

NAPet friendly and not too far from Monticello. The staff helped us with directions and there was a complimentary late check out. Breakfast provided.
