The George is in a very central place in Cheltenham, it’s close to all the bus's needed to got to the Cotswolds and beyond. The staff are extremely helpful and give good advice regarding the area. We had the continental breakfast and there was plenty of healthy food and drinks available. We also had some cooked to order breakfasts and these were exceptionally good. On the downside some of the carpets on the stairs need renewing. Overall I’d give the George 9/10.

Second time staying at this lovely hotel. Parking is a plus and decor is really tastefully done both in the communal areas and the bedrooms On our first stay we were at the front of the hotel downstairs from the reception and had a lovely stay and a restful sleep. Unfortunately this time we were in Room 16 at the back of the hotel, got to sleep fine but something started at 430 and then the kitchen fans kicked in about 630. Would definitely request a room at the front if staying again, aside of that it’s a fab place with friendly staff and a nice ambience.
