To better understand Nice, head to one of its fabulous cultural destinations. Visit some of the noteworthy artistic and historic collections including Franciscan Museum, the Nice Museum of Fine Arts and the Marc Chagall National Museum. Experience established and up-and-coming artists strut their stuff at Nice Opera, the Conservatory of Nice and the Nice Theatre. Popular galleries, include the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
If the sun is shining, follow the locals and head outside to the nearby green spaces. Stare out over the water and go for a long walk at one of the local beaches, for example the Promenade des Anglais. There are some nice family parks, so take a picnic blanket to Castle Park. The conservation preserves such as Castle Hill, allow visitors to see the birds, trees and plants which inhabit the local area.
If you enjoy souvenir and fashion shopping, shop til you drop amid the many stores at the Nice Etoile Shopping Center.
Watch Nice favourites, the Olympique Gymnaste Club Nice Côte d'Azur, take on their rivals in the nearby Stade Municipal de Ray. On weekends the stadium overflows with red and black, as crowds flock together to support their beloved team.
