“Exceptional level of service. Exceptional breakfast. Having snacks available in the shared areas in the evening was a great plus. Value for money was outstanding, for example the sauna and pool. Location perfect for exploring Lecce on foot or Sarento by car.”

“Alberto is a fantastic host who goes out of his way to help. His place is tucked into the top floor and has a side deck that is beautiful. One has to ascend to the bed area by a ships ladder but its very comfy. Also the shower is fabulous. A real treat to stay here. ”

Our room was an interior one with the main door onto the corridor, and another door onto a common outdoor area. “Staff is good and location is great. The need for improvement should be in amenities and infrastructure, ie breakfast, towels, soap, tissues and ventilation. Overall it is more a boutique hotel and shouldn’t be advertise as a five star establishment.”

“Wonderful family owner renovated 1920’s palace which has secure parking in an excellent location on the edge of the beautiful old city. The owner and staff give their very best to make your stay the best it can be. Highly recommend the first floor front rooms which have a lovely terrace to enjoy a drink on in the morning sunshine. The Garbo also has a spa in the room! Breakfast was always a warm, friendly, fun filled occasion”
