I arrived late at around 1am at 4 Sur Hotel and, even though the door was locked, I rang the bell and was quickly welcomed in. By the time I reached the second floor, I was greeted like family. The reception staff spoke Spanish only, but we made it work easily with Google Translate — they were patient and kind the whole time. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and very clean. My room was modern, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast the next morning was a highlight. It’s served on the 6th floor with stunning mountain views. The host spoke English and went out of her way to explain all the food options — everything was fresh and delicious, and she made me feel right at home. There’s also a small gym, mostly cardio-focused but with some free weights available, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-run boutique hotel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it if you’re staying in Medellín.

Room has a bad smell to them. We are told that it’s the water that is used to clean the rooms, they stink when dries and it can’t be helped
