“Unfortunately we were put in a room that faces the road where there are ongoing roadworks. These went on all through the night, we gave up at 7 am and went for breakfast then headed straight home. The lorries were constantly back and forth with reversing alarms going. I have complained to premier inn but they accept no responsibility for placing guests in rooms while this work continues. Avoid Waterloo Street Birmingham for the time being.”
“Great hotel and friendly staff.
Note for the check in: you cannot self check in as Expedia does not provide a QR code or the other necessary information”
“This was our first premier in stay. Upon arrival there was signage out front “kids stay for free” which made us feel like we chose a family hotel since we were staying with our 2 young children. The first evening (7-8pm) when arriving home from dinner we had a knock on the door from staff. A noise complaint… we had been in the hotel for less than 5 minutes. It was quite off putting since our kids were at the normal volume of any guest.
Other than that, hotel was clean, well kept and a great……
“Location is terrible. Literally next to the homeless shelter and there is nothing else commercial on the block. The only restaurant is inside the hotel and they “had a large party so we would need to wait a long time to be served.” So basically we had to walk past the homeless crowd two blocks to even find food. Not family friendly at all. Only perk was the breakfast was decent. Too bad we needed dinner.”
