“The house is lovely with the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had, a stunning domed roof ceiling in the bedroom, good shower, comfortable bed and good internet so ticks lots of boxes. It is on the edge of town and has some industrial neighbours which made it very noisy. Happy folks are working hard but it is something to know about. It’d be best to have a car or rent bicycles if staying here as taxis were hard to come by at least when we were there. The walk into town was about 18 minutes. If……

We stayed at this property for the expressed interest of touring around Barra and visiting with my wife's parents who winter in Melaque.The property is located just a few short steps from the bus stop and taxi stand, both with regular and quick service to Melaque and back.The shops, food venues, and markets of Barra are all around you. “The pools were perfect, but the house was in need of maintenance. One of the split-unit air conditioners leaked on the last night and soaked the bed and my grandson. The property did provide an ice chest and beach toys, which was a nice touch. The staff was excellent, and the property was quiet and clean. However, I was disappointed that the listing was advertised in USD, but at checkout the charges were converted to ERO at a higher cost. This felt misleading.”

“The view from the balcony is great. It is up high and overlooks the bay. The pool is awesome but the pool staff are not so good. For a good portion of the trip, they had children running the bar. Even when we were the only ones at the pool, it sometimes took 20-30 minutes to get a drink. Sometimes they took our order and then sat down and played on their phones. Very bizarre. They hardly ever had change so we got shorted at times. Very few of the staff speak English so be prepared for that. The……
