“First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left.
We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view.
Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got.……

“Staff were lovely and incredibly attentive- nothing too much trouble.
Amazing breakfast selection- all fresh and cooked to order.
Big room - well maintained- lovely view to garden - we were in Camilla.
10 mins into town but situated in countryside near parks, historic houses and museums. Easy reach for James Cook Hospital.
Lovely country house hotel - obviously newly created in beautiful Edwardian house.
We will be back”
