"Strong WiFi throughout. Plenty of choice for breakfast, although the cooked food was a bit salty for our liking. Bed was firm, with a creak. Non feather bedding, so great for allergies. Bathroom door wasn't keen to stay shut. Room was clean. Great selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate as well as biscuits. Quiet location over the night. Steak and ale pie great, veg pie you needed a spoon to eat the contents with. "

"This was my second time at the Lordleaze hotel & both times were an absolute pleasure. The main road to the hotel is through a housing estate but don't be put of by this, because once you reach the drive to the hotel the grounds are very scenic and the hotel gardens are pretty with plenty of seating space to the rear. The hotel offers an electric car charger which was a bonus, a delicious free breakfast is included in the price of the stay. The bar is area is small but very snug with plenty of other seating areas avaliable both inside & out for enjoying your meal or drinks. The rooms on both stays were clean and amicably stocked with free tea/coffee making facilities & free toiletries with the main toilets offering extra free toiletries should you need them. The staff are polite, efficient & friendly at all times from the chambermaids through to management, especially the young lady who cothers the reception and bar area as she is a real asset in the hospitality world. Thank you to all your staff for a much needed, peaceful, no fuss break away. "
Beautiful Barn in rural Somerset, close to the coast, with stunning views
10/10 Excellent
"I had an amazing stay at the beautiful barn hosted by Heather and Angus. They both made me feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure I had all I needed. Inside, it's beautifully designed with extras such as a heated mattress, and woodstove burner (with a big supply of logs and kindling) to make the stay extra cosy. The views are also lovely and it's beautifully light. The location is also great, about 25 minutes to the coast for beach and hill walks, as well as wood walks at Castle Neroche. A visit to the monsastry of Forde Abbey is also worth a visit if you like beautiful gardens with the odd roaming cow! I had such a lovely break. Only three days but the reset I needed and quality time with my dogs! Thank you Heather and Angus!"
"Quaint accommodation, convenient for some lovely walks and day trips, including Bridport and the Jurassic coast. Instructions were great as we arrived in the dark but had no trouble finding the shepherds hut. Thank you. "
"Excellent stay in a comfortable room with many useful facilities such as tea and coffee, including a nespresso machine, an Echo Dot, a good shower and a comfortable bed. Gary and Jamie were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. Will stay there again."
