“Perfect location for the beautiful northern lakes and pennines. Yew Tree Cottage is as shown, beautifully furnished, comfortable, as were the beds and bedding, inc great pillows. Welcome pack of tea coffee milk and delicious home made blueberry muffins. The one thing we needed assistance with the owners were very responsive and resolved that same afternoon (on a BH weekend). “Fantastic place with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Sheep right on your doorstep, and the hot tubs were fantastic and well-maintained. Really comfy beds and a large kitchen, big enough to cook for the 20 guests we had with us. Thanks so much, we will be back”

“Absolutely beautiful building and location on Ullswater, spotlessly clean. Complimentary bottle off fizz on arrival was a nice touch. Road noise can be a slight issue but does die down of an evening and can’t really be heard from inside. Generator only runs for a short while sporadically and again isn’t a real problem. Would highly recommend at the time of year we went -views are fantastic. I would definitely return!”

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...
