Debre Zeyit Market Tours

I stayed at Hotel Lobelia and gave it an overall rating of 3/5. While there were positives, several issues affected my stay. The biggest disappointment was that many of the advertised amenities were not working. In the gym, only the free weights were usable, and both the steam room and sauna were out of service. My airport pickup was also poorly handled. Although I received an email confirming my pickup after sharing my flight details, I waited at the airport for an hour. Delays can happen, but instead of apologizing, I was given excuses, including traffic, even though the hotel is only about an 8-minute drive from the airport and I experienced no traffic on my way there. To make matters worse, there was no electricity when I arrived at the hotel. While power was restored later that evening, it added to an already disappointing start to my stay. I do want to recognize the front desk lady on my second day, July 20, 2026 (wish I had her name). She sincerely apologized for the pickup issue and arranged a taxi for my daily use that I could pay for at checkout. She deserves 5 stars for her excellent customer service. The food was good overall, but egg orders at breakfast often took much longer than expected. The hotel has potential, but the non-functioning amenities and poor handling of the airport pickup significantly lowered my overall rating.

The gym was great breakfast was okay Staff was wonderful

This is quite an old-feeling hotel. However, everything works, and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are big and very comfortable. In addition it has a really impressive spa ... with full functioning sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and massage facilities. It also has one of the most extensive hotel gyms that I have ever seen. Quite close to the airport, and with a free shuttle bus.
