“Getting to the hotel was good and it was as advertised, they picked you up from the airport and took a 30 minute boat to the resort. Being an all inclusive resort, we were looking forward to relaxing, enjoying the beach, pool, and activities ”

“From the time we were picked up at the airport until the time they dropped us back off, everyone at the Alaia was top notch. Our room was amazing, the pools were really clean and not crowded, the food was good and service was really great. Honestly, I have nothing below great to say about any aspect of the resort. If you are scheduled excursions, make it easy and use the resort as there is minimal savings to search it somewhere else. Take advantage of the morning coffee and walk to a……

Staff were helpful and friendly, accommodating even tricky requests (like early morning breakfasts before we left the last day, etc.) There are several pools, the larger pool was awesome for kids with sunny and shady spots. The swim up "adults only" pool was heated and so lovely.”

“The hotel staff were fantastic and the view was beautiful. It was quite a ways from San Pedro town which limited dining options for us. The staff booked us a reservation at Mambo with a driver or boat pickup depending on the weather. The breakfast was good but very few options for dinner at the onsite restaurant. If I could do it again, I would rent a golf cart in town for the duration of our stay and book tours that picked us up at the resort dock.”

“A room is clean. Staff is good but I don’t see much. A complimentary boat ride between north and south is good and exciting but it can feel a little limiting especially on Wednesdays. If you provided a booklet about the hotel facilities, amenities, activities the way to get north… that would be nicer and kinder.”

“This was a ultra modern resort with excellent rooms and staff. Beautiful resort. In room laundry and multiple salt water pools. The restaurants were good but not great and the on site store was convenient but not well stocked. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had a terrible sargassum problem that rendered the sea front useless and the pools were cold”
