"What an incredible experience staying here! We split our time between two rooms, which we found out is quite common. We staying in the junior suite which was spacious and we loved the private pool/garden area. Then spent the last two days in the gorgeous overwater bungalows. Both rooms were beautiful and incredible. The food was some of the best we've ever had and the staff were very friendly and patient as we practiced our French. We will be back here for sure"

"Nicest OWB we have stayed in the French Polynesia! Staff was excellent and quite beautiful location. Only thing we would have changed a little was some additional lunch and dinner options at the restaurant. Food was excellent, breakfast included, just was looking for salads and more simple things.
Overall we would highly recommend Le Tikehau!

Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
8/10 Good
"Given the name, reputation and the price level, the Four Seasons Bora Bora was somewhat of a disappointment. Yes, it's a prestigious hotel with one of the best locations in the world, amenities and services to match, but the Four Seasons also comes with high level expectations which were certainly not met. While the food was top quality, the selection less so, especially at breakfast. The buffet offered exactly one type of juice-not sure if it was fresh or not, and one ice tea. One juice at the Four Seasons? Two other resorts we visited on this trip offered 8 and 6 juice kinds respectively. The fresh fruit and other item selection was also good quality, but limited choice. We have had better options at some all-inclusives in Mexico. The transfer to the main island when leaving was an unpleasant experience curated by incompetent staff. The boat was leaving while our luggage was still on shore. Luckily we noticed and they had to come back to retrieve it. The boat staff also had an unpleasant, begrudging attitude when we reached the main island. We had to request our luggage specifically, otherwise it probably would have been left on the boat. Some customer service training might be useful for these particularly disagreeable staff. Lastly, while the rooms were beautifully designed, decorated and spotlessly clean, 8 out of 10 pillows on the two beds had a funky, musty, cheesy smell. Luckily there were two that were actually useable. Perhaps they could change them more often?"

Residence Moorea Sunset Beach
8/10 Good
"Excellent location with beautiful surroundings. Lots of water activities to do nearby. Recommend to take your own snorkeling set and paddleboards if you can."

Boutique Hotel Kon Tiki Tahiti
8/10 Good
"The hotel was easy to find and well located in the center of town, a quick trip to and from the airport with nearby paid, secure parking. It has a convenient breakfast restaurant on the main floor, a really cool surfing themed restaurant on 7 with good food and neat open air rooftop bar, perfect for sunsets. Those are the pros, the cons are as follows: that rooftop restaurant had a band/dj and the music was thumping and loud until late on a Thursday night when we had to get up at 4am for an early flight. And our room, an upgrade facing the port is designed to look very hip, but the designers made some practical errors. The whole room is wired for “energy savings” so you have to keep your key card sleeve in the holder near the door or the entire room “shuts off”, including the air conditioner. The multitude of different light switches is unnecessarily complicated. There is no shower, but instead a big beautiful spoon tub with a hand held which is impossible to use without getting water all over the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash are bolted to the wall and difficult to use. And the hair dryer can’t be used in the bathroom because the plug in that room isn’t appropriate for it. In addition the bathroom lighting is very minimal, so there’s no way to put on any makeup in there. There is also no seating area, but instead a high bar table with barstool seats; not comfortable. Looks cool though (LOL)"

The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"The property is stunning. The staff is exceptional and it’s just a happy environment. Just don’t order the nachos at the pool. It was the only disappointment. Everything was amazing! Make your reservations today and unplug!"

Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. The positives were definitely the friendly and welcoming staff, who were always pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The beachfront location was beautiful, and having both a beach and a pool gave us plenty of options for relaxing. The happy hour was excellent and something we looked forward to each day. The resort grounds and gardens were absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. We also appreciated that towels were provided for both the beach and pool, making things convenient. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our room. It was not as clean as we expected, the refrigerator did not work properly, and the hot tub on our balcony was not clean and appeared poorly maintained. We were also surprised that the room did not include a microwave, which would have been helpful during our stay. Another consideration is the location. While the setting is beautiful, it is not really within walking distance of shops, restaurants, or other attractions, so transportation is necessary. Overall, the resort has beautiful grounds, a great beach, and wonderful staff, but the room maintenance and cleanliness need improvement to match the otherwise pleasant experience."

Tahiti Lagoon Resort
6/10 Okay
"The Tahiti Lagoon is an airy hotel with many Tahitian features including the impressive lobby. Staff are very pleasant and interact. Room size in the main hotel (can’t speak for huts over the sea) is good, proper European bathtubs. Beds and bedding extremely comfortable. Pool is shallow but large, although looking a bit dated and in need of TLC. There’s a general air of “almost …. room for improvement”. Breakfast adequate but not inspiring. Beach area is good, beach bar has a relaxing vibe, especially after sunset. The sea is clean, warm, good for snorkelling (gear provided free). At least two flights a day arrive from LAX before dawn yet the hotel seems unable to accommodate early check-ins, with reception staff rigidly insisting 3pm earliest. This is clearly nonsense - when we stayed Tahiti Lagoon had about 50% occupancy, so rooms were certainly available. But “computer said no” - if you arrive at 6am you’re expected to stick around in your sweaty travel clothes for another 9 hours. Miraculously the manager let us check in at noon, but this seems to be an increasing trend of hotels not to release rooms for early guests as soon as they arrive because “it’s policy”. It’s not hard! Asian hotels understand early flights and never pretend there’s a problem checking in immediately guests arrive. (Of note - our flight crew arrived shortly after us ….and all went to their rooms immediately!). One rule for them… Overall a nice laid back tropical hotel, but overpriced."

Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa
8/10 Good
"Beautiful room over the water. Could use a refresh. Staff was less than helpful; we felt like an inconvenience. We were offered a free continental breakfast our first day but not after that. Unsure why."

Hilton Hotel Tahiti

"Food way overpriced for what you got, pool closed at 7pm"

Hotel Royal Bora Bora

"Great location with lots of restaurants around. Unfortunately our room smelled pretty bad. But otherwise was a pretty good experience."
