“This is not a service hotel. I knew when I booked this hotel that it's best days were behind it. I enjoy hotels with character and history so that was to be expected. What i didn't expect was the dismal service. Our first night in the bar, 3 staff couldn't figure out how to make a vodka martini. What came after a lot of discussion was vodka over ice...ok,close enough I guess. Over the next 2 days we couldn't get towels, clean drinking glasses,fresh ice,we had other people seated at our……

“If your looking for a cheap but not hi spec hotel this hotel fits the bill. The decor is exactly the same as it was 35 years ago!!! But the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a fridge and a air conditioning unit (very noisy) and was clean. Ltd sockets for modern day tech but apart from that was fine. Small pool, (didn't use) so can't comment on that. Yeah overall we had a great weekend and the hotel suited us as we were in the centre of main Street, so ideally situated. But……
