“Very old hotel need a better maintenance.”

“Property was completely unlocked and empty of people. Had to use posted number on unlocked door to contact an employee who showed up 15 minutes later. Was taken to a dirty unmade bedroom with old and mismatched furniture. Bathroom was 30 yards away with no toiletries and no mirror Water was luc warm. Carpet throughout the building was rhreadbare. After 20 minutes I decided to vacate the hotel due to watching a rat run down the hallway.”

“On the main road through Aviemore . Not noisy and enough parking off road. Room number one is very small with just enough room to manoeuvre around double bed. Small bathroom with shower. Bathroom all in black with small spotlights. This room was very disappointing as it was so small. Only a kettle and sink, no toaster. Not enough room for two adults and two dogs. There were two chairs at the bottom of the bed to watch TV both in poor condition. Photos of the property do not reflect how small……

“Great location. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated and could do with refurbishing. Accommodation was great just what we needed.”

“We stayed one night to ride the Strathspey steam train which was a 10 minute walk down the road. There were good local restaurants to eat at for lunch and dinner and the room was super cute and the king bed was super comfy.”

“Very nicely designed rooms with a spacious bathroom. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts with great advice on what to do in the area.”

“I stayed for two consecutive nights and was grateful that the room was serviced again. However, I would have appreciated it more if my pajamas hadn’t been placed on the floor in a corner by housekeeping. 😓”

“Pros - good shower and heating. Cons - Electricity (main light) in the room seemed faulty and the TV didn’t work, as there is rarely anyone available in reception, I didn’t bother trying to get it fixed. The hotel is in need of renovation, very noisy and dated, bar staff not attentive, food overcooked/burnt in places. Prices vary massively from the same room, so ok if you can grab a bargain would be very disappointing if you paid double.”

“The staff were amazing! They went above and beyond to make us feel at home at every step. Facilities were a little less "family friendly" than a more modern hotel but we still really enjoyed our time with our toddler!”
