"Got a upgrade and was blown away by their upgraded room. It was great and I will go for it the next time. Front desk and other staff service has been attentive and service with smile. Bar was nice during happy hour 1-for-1 drinks but their bar food was really bad. "

"It's easy to stay at a generic box type hotel. The Strand has pedigree (See Raffles and E&O). It's a beautiful building with high ceilings. Beautifully decorated and clean. Very pleasant staff. Quiet and tranquil. Stay here for your first visit to Yangon, and you can always stay at a generic, branded hotel on a subsequent visit."
