"I booked West coast private but due to a mix up ended up at the sister property South coast private. I was pleased with the apartment overall. It was comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated.There were lots of towels, beach chairs and good kitchen utensils. The property has a side view of beautiful Maxwell beach but it is very close to the street so at night you hear the ocean but also some street noise. I recommend including ice trays and adding a vanity for cosmetics. Linens...

"We loved James Bay apartments as a young family seeking a relaxed holiday in Barbados. Mark and PJ were great hosts and were very welcoming for the children. We enjoyed being in a more original property for the area, which accompanied by the great view to the ocean helped the relaxed vibe. "The pool is just a plunge pool on the roof.. the 2 bedroom doesn’t have nearly enough storage for people staying more than a couple of days. The hot water heater in our unit didn’t work correctly and caused some inconvenience because and the staff did their best to accommodate. But it was an unfortunate interruption. The location is great because it is near some of the best restaurants on the island but you need to travel to the better beaches. You really need a car to stay here. The surrounding area is not very nice to look at and the water view is very limited."
