“I enjoyed the kangaroo steak for dinner at the Tides restaurant. It was accompanied with sweet potatoes and broccoli. It was all excellent! I also loved being able to sit at the beach and sit by the pool. It made it an enjoyable experience.”

“A wonderful way to experience the rain forest in a raw and real manner. Wonderful for switching off and returning to nature. Don't expect all the bells and whistles, expect friendly travellers and staff, loud birds and heaps of rain.”

“A fabulous and truely relaxing break”

“This lodge was in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest, which was so cool. There was a tiny pool, but 2 nice natural swimming holes to wade in However, food was quite pricey for the quality you received in the restaurant. The Continental breakfast was a nice touch in the morning. It was great that we were loaned a flashlight and umbrella for our stay.”

“Beautiful surroundings, great accomodation, comfortable and way above expectation! The outdoor shower was a total highlight! Would recommend to all!”

“Sauberes, einfaches Zimmer. Sehr liebe, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Leckerer Obstteller zum Frühstück. Lage mitten im Regenwald, wo man schon morgens die Vögel zwitschern hören kann.”

“Greg, the proprietor, is a great guy, welcomed us personally, showed us into our room, set us up with excellent Starlink WiFi first thing and prepared a beautiful, big breakfast for us the next morning with sweet papaya, melon, excellent coffee, and poached eggs on ham, cheese and avocado toast. The room was comfortable and clean, with TV, and a fridge. The property is beautiful, nestled in the rainforest with countless birds and green mountains behind. He pointed out his flowering jade plant……

“Ferntree was basic accommodation. Towels were shabby, lighting around the place was not sufficient at night, restaurant food was below par, the beds were uncomfortable and the noise between rooms was far too evident”

“Amazing place! Has everything you need except cellular service - but let’s be honest you don’t need that either. Host was great and had suggestions on things to see nearby. The on property swimming hole was so nice for a hot summer day. Visit the insect museum nearby if it is open. ”

“OMG!!!! This place is AMAZING!!!!! Dean has thought of everything…. And then some!! Lots of unexpected little extras. We were just in awe of this place! The rustic and interesting layout of both dwellings the tranquility and feeling at one with our surroundings. We were all amazed at the fact we encountered very few mosquitoes and I think we may have seen 4 flies the entire time!!! Even though we had a fair bit of rain during our stay we didn’t mind. It was so relaxing and we had lots of……

“Perfect location. Close to everything but you feel totally secluded as well! The wide deck with hammock was our favourite place to chill.”

“Beautiful location, Connie was really helpful when we faced a few issues with the electricity/generator. Would wish for wifi. I know it's the 'point' for detox but my husband needed to handle a work emergency unfortunately and access would've made it easier. Thank you a lot ♡”

“Treeverb:There is always one thing that stands out on each stay, and in this case it was our hosts (Scott & Sharon). The level of accurate and timely information was perfection. The accommodation were very nice with one small architectural challenge which was mention in previous reviews. The upstairs master bedroom is only accessible to the downstairs (including the bathroom) via two outside stairways. For older patrons that may need to get up at night makes the master bedroom none usable. The 2nd……

“Lovely self-contained cottage with front and rear garden. Plenty of outdoor under cover seating. Large kitchen / diner with full sized oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. A short stroll to the hotel for meals when you don't feel like cooking.”

“Yurara was a magical place to stay. The perfect size house for our family with views to die for and really comfortable accomodation. Dean was an excellent host - he checked in to make sure we had arrived safely and made sure we knew he wasn't far away if we needed anything.Would stay at Yurara again in a heart beat.”

“Wonderful, tree, light and bird song filled relaxed break. Beautiful designed and stylish boutique home built in the rain forest. A bird/nature watchers dream!”
