Detroit Historical Museum Tours

For the price compared to other hotels in the core and corktown, it does its job. I wouldn’t call it boutique. One of the front desk staff was extremely helpful at check in and then the helpfulness fell off. The cleaning staff are doing their best but the shotty renovation makes it feel dingy. The bartender was unfriendly and unhelpful, the cafe was good and the gym is clean, minimalist but does its job pretty well. The biggest issue is the noise. The walls are thin and the doors are so close to the next room that any door near you opening and closing is loud. We stayed two nights and both nights were woken up several times, not that anyone asked anything about our stay at checkout.

I don't have enough great things to say about this place. Emaculate from the room to the grounds around it. Cardinal Golf Course was truly a gem and the par 3 course and putting course were so much fun. Restaurants on-site were wonderful also. Can't wait to get back here, so we're planning a trip in the fall!

The best hotel in the Detroit metro area hands down! A stunning property and so beautifully kept. Birmingham is a pristine little town and The Townsend so well immaculately situated in its heart. Walk to anywhere. The staff is second to none. I flew in for the Jack White concert, and came back to my hometown, and everyone was so warm and friendly and kind to me. So memorable. Thank you Townsend!!
