"I very much enjoyed my stay. The accommodations were wonderful - the room had everything I needed: a comfy bed, clean bathroom, tea/coffee maker, a few cookies (nice add!), a mini fridge... I enjoyed the short walk to town, the easy parking, and the tables outside. I would definitely stay again!"

"We had a great stay! The home was built in the 1800's if I remember correctly from the guest book. It has been updated with all the modern amenities and is very cozy! It is beautifully maintained with lots of culture for the time-period. This is a 3-story cottage and if you walk to town, it's all uphill on the way back. So, if you can't do stairs, this isn't for you. We are 50 and fairly active so the stairs weren't a problem for us. We would definitely stay here again."

"The home is beautiful - like taking a step back in time and staying in a house from the early 1900s. There were five of us in our late 60s - the stairs were difficult for one of us and we could have used one more bed, but everything was very clean and comfortable and in a great location to all things Galena. Host were great!"

"Very quiet, close to nature “retreat”. Clean, well stocked with all necessary items for a pleasant stay. The only drawback I could think of was the fact that because it was tucked away from any major town, planning became important. You couldn’t just hop in the car and get a few groceries. Minor inconvenience."

"Hailey has thought of everything to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The house is spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and has so many windows that you can enjoy the woods as you relax or prepare meals. We spent a lot of time in the screen porch enjoying the birds, deer and wild turkeys! We hope to return in the future."

"This was the perfect home for my family. The house was super clean. It had everything we need to grill and cook mostly. My kids loved the games that were provided in the house. It’s a perfect location to the pool ( less than a 5 minute drive) . I really enjoyed the back deck. The only thing we noticed which doesn’t hinder the review of this home is that the couches were a bit out of date. The recliner opening it felt like it was about to break. The wrap around porch was really cute and the fire pit was a special addition to the end of our evenings. "This is the 2nd year in a row we stayed at this charming cottage. Ginger is so accommodating as always. This time, we had an issue with the washing machine not working in the a.m. By 11:30, Ginger had the repair guy show up and he fixed it! With the hot tub, pool, and many showers to be had, we needed the washing machine and she made sure it happened! The house is so comfortable and clean. So close to town and things to do in the area. My kids (and their friends) and I love it there!"
