“Although an older hotel I found it clean and comfortable the 4 times I have stayed there over the past 5 or so years. The owner is delightful and very helpful. There is a lovely pool on site and lots of wildlife about. Restaurants are close by in Haliburton village as well as a Tim Hortons . Will be booking there again next year for sure.”

“Die Bilder täuschen. Wir hatten tatsächlich einen Raum, der zwar hübsch hergerichtet, jedoch arg in die Jahre gekommen war. Innerhalb von nur 2 Stunden hatten wir mehrere Spinnen und einige Ameisen im Zimmer. Der Manager hat uns angeboten, das Zimmer zu säubern (warum nicht schon vorher), wir haben aber trotzdem ausgecheckt. Es gibt dort auch keine große Unterhaltungsmöglichkeit. Wir waren schwer enttäuscht, aufgrund der Beschreibung und der Bilder hatten wir anderes erwartet”

“We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay.”

“very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead.”

“David and Stefan made us feel at home immediately. In our three night stay here, there is absolutely nothing to criticize. All meals were fabulous. There is always something of interest to do here, whether it be hiking, paddling on the pond, relaxing or reading. It's a great place to achieve digital detox and get away from everything for a while. We love this place!! ”

“The resort is located in the country area at the river bank, you have your own private dock, private deck you can sit down and enjoy the peace and beauty of the natural. The view is great, you can see the clear reflection of the colorful trees on the river side. The owner is very friendly, and check us in very quickly. The closest supermarket and restaurant are 20+ miles away, but I would rather think it is a just a pre-condition to give you such a good spot in the natural. ”
