"This was our first cottage rental for a family of 10 getaway. Very nice setting and convenient location to nearby activities/stores.The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed and the whole cottage provided comfort. ( beds, pillows, furniture)The sandy beach and water depth was perfect for kids. They loved it.After a string of hot days the cottage was extremely hot. Overhead fans in 3 of the bedrooms somewhat helped, but additional portable fans for the master bedroom and living room would be beneficial.The hosts were excellent to deal with through the whole process."
"This couldn't have been a more smooth and laid out process for booking. Everything was so simple, and communication with the host was quick, easy, and pleasant. When we got to the cottage, it exceeded our expectations and felt so much like a home away from home. Very clean, well equipped with everything we could need and more. The area is beautiful and quiet yet still so close to a grocery store and ammenities. We absolutely adored the hot tub as well!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! We had good luck with fishing. There was tons of space for our whole family to spread out and relax, and we really appreciated all the comfy seating both inside and out. The screened-in porch was a total lifesaver – we spent so much time out there without worrying about bugs! Plus, the host was just fantastic. We'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great family getaway!"

"This property a great choice for a nice getaway with group of friends or with your family. It offers ample space and an excellent sized kitchen for cooking, and plenty of kitchen accessories and supplies for your cooking needs. Being by the lake was the highlight of this property. They had kayaks and a canoe for use. Would come back again ! "

"This was hands down the best stay we have ever had not only is Ted an amazing property manager and person but the cottage and property is a time you will never forget. The water is warm and beautiful for swimming and fishing, the decor is on point and gives so much history on the area and property the decorations are spectacular, the appliances are all new and updated, beds were comfy and super clean, bathroom is beautiful and shower is amazing. This is definitely going to be a regular vacation spot for us now. If i could rate this higher then the maximum, I definitely would. Thanks for a wonderful experience Ted and looking forward to next time."

"Lovely older building with a new modern look and amenities. Our room was beautiful with serene views amidst the winter landscape. The lobby/lounge was warm and welcoming. We booked a hydrotherapy session and thoroughly enjoyed the use of the sauna and steam room.
The food was amazing at the restaurant and the service was on point.
The resort itself is quite remote, but during an unexpected winter storm it was the perfect retreat. "
"The cottage was old, but well-equiped, comfortable and spacious. There are two negative aspects: 1. proximity to the road so that it was noisy at times; 2. cleanliness was generally good though we collected a lot of sand when we swept the floors and the toilet seat had not been throughly cleaned."
"We were looking for a true cottage experience and we found it! If you are looking for frills this cottage is not for you but if you are looking to relax and enjoy being right on the lake then this is it. We wanted to get away from it all,relax and spend quality time together and with our two dogs and that is exactly what we did. When we arrived the dogs ran straight to the lake and swam. We fished, we relaxed and when it poured rain we sat in the screened in porch and watched the rain and the lake. We also had a daytime nap in which we were able to watch the rain and the lake directly from our bed! On the sunny days we fished and kayaked. A wonderful cottage experience!!"
"We enjoyed a short family vacation on lake Haliburton. The cottage was clean with well stocked kitchen for 4 people. We enjoyed time on the large dock with beautiful views of the lake. The property is being updated.

"Crystal Palace Cottage is in a beautiful location, with great lake access, and tons of space.
We visited with 10 adults and 10 kids (ranging from 8 months to 7 years) and there was room for everyone.
While the kitchen is a bit small, the BBQ helps with cooking for large group.
Communication was the owner was easy, and overall everyone had a really nice time."
