"I’m so glad The Gate Hotel finally opened a location in Sapporo! I always stay at this hotel chain every time I’m in Tokyo ! Excellent location about 8 minutes walk from Sapporo station via subway level and never have to go up to street level! Great winner is raining or snowing. The only negative was the construction across the street can be noisy from time to time and they work through the night on some days of the week! The entire staff was very helpful & friendly! The reception is on the 10th floor and have to switch elevator to get to our rooms! The breakfast is a bit inconsistent but never overcrowded during our 5 night stay! A huge plus was the hotel shipped two of my luggage to Tokyo’s Ryogoku location at no cost!"

"Loved the location, the room (comfy bed!), and the convenience of an on-site laundry and ironing space. Bonus: the hotel is right next-door to an amazing bakery!"

"The hotel is in a great location in the city. All the key sites and more are in walking distance. The check-in process was easy and they had luggage storage. There were toiletries available in the lobby to take if needed. I liked the way they managed housekeeping."

"Biggest issue is the elevators. Too crowded and too slow all day long. Staying on the lower floors and waited 5 elevators to board."

" The sofa was rather uncomfortable to seat for long period. Hope they will replace it with better sofa. The one in my room 1013, the bottom material is torn. Should have extra pillows for each bed excluding the small hard cushions provided. Also wished that the hotel would include more English channels example like HBO or Netflix. The only channel that’s English is BBC if I’m not wrong. Other than the above, nothing much I can negatively speak of Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo. We had good comfortable nights in the 4 days we stayed. The staff were very friendly, helpful and smiling from start to end of our stay. Facilities were ample. We had their buffet breakfast on our last day as it was customary of our stays in all the hotels that has breakfast. It was good."
