The benefit of being able to wear just socks and walk throughout the hotel is amazing. Being able to use a private onsen on the first floor and in your room is very nice. While food is good, I wouldn't call it great. It's multi-course but always has a hotpot round and you can order extra dishes if you are hungry. If you stay for 2 nights, you can choose your next night's main dish but it's also hotpot style main.
