1st and best: you could not find a more helpful, professional and lovely staff.
2nd: The Scotsman is a step away from The Royal Mile: so museums, the Castle, Holyrood, restaurants, St. Giles,etc. Walking is easy. Shopping is a given.
One thing to know about The Scotsman: there are stairs. The lift is in the process of repair so there are lots of stairs.
But that being said: staff will help with all of it.
