Highly recommend for exploring the busy Royal Mile area of Edinburgh. Busy, noisy area yet very quiet at night so great for sleeping. We walked everywhere and lugged our suitcases uphill to get there from the airport tram drop off, so arrange a taxi for that if you need to. Free laundry and detergent which was great to leave for the next leg of our trip with clean clothes!

The staff here are super nice. The location and the room was wonderful. My only complaint was the air didn't work for a few days but the staff gave us fans and worked really hard and quick to solve the issue which they did. Would stay again.

The entrance lobby is very grand and impressive, the staff really nice. Our room was quite disappointing, very small, badly in need of refurbishment, scruffy marks on wardrobe door and toilet shelf. Shower tiles had black dark marks in places. Toilet roll holder loose on wall. One light above bed flashed constantly, 2nd night both lights above bed went completely off. The window was right beside the steps with people walking up and down. Room massively overpriced, was not a luxury room as described. Would not rush back.

I liked everything about the property but the lower floors which have larger rooms but they are darkish. Also the tubs are quite high and slippery making them difficult to get in and out of safely. A wall bar to grasp on would remedy this. The ground floor and upper rooms are lovely.
