Birthday
Was very clean and staff very helpful , we were there for one night as it was my grandsons second birthday and a visit to zoo. Only disappointing thing was that no kids menu although we did get offered suitable options . We asked for kids juice and got a large glass of orange , which wasn’t suitable for a 2 year old . Otherwise a nice place to stay

Hi, The hotel was comfortable enough, and the staff tried very hard but unfortunately the evening meal was a very small portion however it was tasty.. and given that we spent £157.00 in the hotel I was very disappointed.. The breakfast service we had is the worse I’ve ever had, it was so cold and we had to go and ask for cutlery and then they forgot the fresh orange then we had to have cartons as they ran out, the toast arrived ordered brown but received white at the end of our breakfast, 6 jams arrived but needed to go and ask for butter 😢.. the staff were really lovely credit to the hotel under difficult circumstances and couldn’t apologise enough, they said that they were rushed off there feet only 4 were working and we chose a busy time as everyone seemed to arrive at 9.30... I was married in the Ramada Jarvis (Mercure) in 2001 and my hubby celebrated his 50th with yourselves 5 years ago so it has very special memories for me but unfortunately on this occasion it didn’t hold any special memories.. I understand the stress everyone is under at the moment and it is strange times for us all.. I work in the NHS and this was my first time away since lockdown and it just made me sad.. Sorry.. Kind regards Vivien Sowersby

YMCA not a hotel
clearly some kinda of youth housing going on! stayed for 2 nights and shouting, slamming doors and running down corridors all night. had the privilege room but nothing made me feel privileged as the room is tired and basic, usually get a fridge with drinks but nothing not even toilet rolls.
