The Torphin was a great place to stay while exploring Edinburgh. Easy access to the bus and lots of restaurants near by. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly.

We arrived very late in the evening. We called ahead and the young man at the desk was so helpful and made sure to leave us a key in a key box outside. The monsoon shower was amazing and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

The Torfin was a lovely place for a single traveler. Two small points: I enjoy a hand cloth for a shower, and there was not desk or equivalent to work on my laptop. Other than that, it was just what I was looking for. Very clean and lots of pillows.

Very nice accommodation and close to the airport. The room was beautiful and very clean and the woman who showed us to our room was extremely nice and helpful! I just wish the shower head (rain shower style) hadn’t been so big compared to the actual space in the shower, as there was no space where water wasn’t being sprayed and so I had to wet my hair even though I didn’t want to. Also, the street is a bit noisy but nothing too bad. Overall, a very nice stay!

The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar was nice and busy. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside with our cocktails. My only negative comment would be the need for a blackout blind. The room didn't get totally dark other than that, I would highly recommend.

Small, quaint and clean room over a bar in a nice suburban area. On bus routes and 15 minutes from downtown. Staff was very polite and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, the hotel has a restaurant on site, which was convenient, but the rooms were very small. Hard with two people and two carry-ons and two personal items, there wasn't room to put anything. But we only stayed for a very short amount of time (technically only 5-6 hours) so it was doable. Conveniently located between airport and city center, plenty of restaurants around. Need to take the bus to the city center or Uber.
