“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When visiting Cartagena, we completely fell in love with the city and decided to extend our stay for three nights in the beautiful Old Town near the waterfront. Choosing the AC Hotel Cartagena by Marriott Bonvoy was one of the very best decisions of our trip. From the moment we entered the lobby, it was clear that this hotel was thoughtfully designed for both comfort and tranquility. “Room was very clean. It’s a ground floor apartment and can be a little noisy sometimes when people come in and out of the apartment block. The apartment is located a minute away from the Roman ampitheatre . 5min walk to the harbour front, shops and restaurants. There’s no view as it faces onto the street. Room facilities were good with the exception of the shower which we found difficult to regulate the temperature.”

Poor communication with reception caused duress and stress during our travel delay, as there was no way to determine if they could hold our room if we checked in late or a day later. I contacted them four times through the Expedia app weeks and days before arriving, and they did not respond at all. Three phone calls to reception went unreturned,……

“Nice friendly staff. Clean rooms. Easy check in. Location is opposite a run down building (old hotel) and an old military base so feels a bit deserted.”

“This is a very beautiful building centrally located which allows you to walk to the most interesting places to visit in the city. Its rooms are comfortable with everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and very varied. Staff are great and helpful. Parking can be done in the near Plaza España and you can get a discount with a hotel voucher”
