Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Radisson Lackawanna Station, and it completely went above and beyond my expectations. My travel partner is a huge train/transit fan and we were in town to visit Steamtown, so I thought it would be a nice surprise to stay in the former train station to really be on theme. I saw other reviews saying the rooms were nothing special, and I was actually okay with that because I was just into the actual location and the history of the building. I am rarely excited about hotels, it just has to be clean and affordable and I'm usually fine with it. This building itself *is* spectacular, little details of art and railroad history everywhere, and it was a joy to wander around the main level looking for tile mosaics, fountains, and benches that were part of the working train station. But the rooms WERE wonderful, I had this gorgeous suite at the corner of the building (even though I swear I got a GREAT travel deal and did not spend a ton), overlooking active train tracks (which were not disruptive or loud, just an extra themed treat for my stay). It was modern and impeccably clean, with photography of Scranton's city highlights and trains on the walls. Staff at check-in were so friendly and informative (with great local recommendations), and cleaning staff we ran into in the hallways were so warm and helpful.
