Not for anyone who has problems with steps . Steep steps upto the apartment and inside the apartment . "Sonachon house is now under new owners Leanne and Aaron. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, toast, and yoghurt on offer. They also provide some towels for the beach as well as free loan of bucket and spades.There is a spacious communal lounge which was really nice to relax in over a cup of coffee. Rooms were clean and nice ensuite shower room. Aaron tells me that he is planning to offer fishing trips next year for guests. A most enjoyable...

"The property had everything we needed. The bed was comfy. It was a lovely quiet area and the large garden was good for the dogs, although we would normally choose somewhere that has private outside space. Overall we had a lovely week’s stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Astor house. The apartment has amazing views and the beach and pier are close by. The apartment is equipped with everything you need if you require to cook. If not there are lots of places around the area to eat. Only downside is parking by the apartment as it is limited "

"My daughter snd I stayed for two nights at this delightful property. The ferry is close by, and it was very easy to find once we’d crossed over from Dartmouth. It was very, very quiet, which we loved and we heard beautiful birdsong in the mornings. Place is cute and cosy, and we had all the amenities we needed. A short walk away is a “general “ shop. And also within quick walking distance are two pubs with great food. The wee private garden was wonderful, as well. Would definitely come back!"

"Very smart well equipped apartment. it had everything you could need. Superb location with great terrace and views.. Very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, great lounge and kitchen. If you are going into Torquay go through the garden and down the steps, very quick and easy (we got taxis back!). We did struggle a bit with the electric ceiling heating, although the instructions were comprehensive it was difficult to know if it worked."

"Inclement and changeable weather is a fact of life for the winter months, but in my little aerie overlooking the sea I was cozy and content. With a longer stay that included days of spectacular sunshine and beautiful rainbows I was able to settle in inside a perfectly laid out apt with the ocean steps away. Well-equipped and cheerful decor, clean and comfortable. Hosts were gracious and responsive. Short walk to the harbor and one of the most dramatic outlooks at Berry Head, not to mention miles...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...
