“Hospitality at its finest! From the moment we arrived, our stay was wonderful. We got off the ferry and made our way to the square, where Kostas, the owner of the hotel, met us personally. He was incredibly sweet and walked us up to the hotel, a gorgeous 1800s mansion that has been beautifully transformed into a romantic blend of modern comfort and classic charm. Along the way, Kostas shared some of the history of Syros and, once we arrived, sat down with us and marked all of his favorite spots……

“We were very surprised this is a Michelin key hotel. Yes, it had recently been renovated with lots of marble. Small rooms. Bad breakfast with tiny bufffet. Pool tiny and unclean. Hamman only by appointment. Check in person was arrigant and left us waiting while she did other things. Felt very disrespected.”

“Perfect hotel to stay in Syros. Nicolas, the owner, is a fabulous host and a true gentleman. He is very informative about the history of Syros. The boutique hotel is about a 5 min walk downhill (gentle) to the town where there are lots of tavernas, shops etc. Nicolas provides lots of useful information about the sights, beaches and restaurants. Anna provides a lovely breakfast, meats & cheeses, fruit, Greek yoghurt, breads. She also cleans the rooms and is a lovely person. The room was……

“Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay at Eclectic. It’s worth being aware that the hotel isn’t really staffed, so when you arrive you are sent a code to get through the door and then another for your room. Unfortunately the code to our bedroom door didn’t work. Fortunately the cleaner was still there and so able to help us access the room and the key. There isn’t a lift, so you have to carry luggage up a narrow staircase. Both these elements didn’t leave a great first impression. The rooms are……

“It was clean, well maintained in good location. Room was nicely done with private Jacuzzi in the balcony. Our room was cleaned every day and all the staff was very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with different treats and delicacies every day. I would definitely recommend it.”

“We were travelling as a mother & daughter and enjoyed our stay. Checkin was quick and efficient. Our room was spacious with a newish ensuite and we had the use of a large terrace which was pleasant in the evenings. The hotel was conveniently situated to town and the port. ”
