Great place, amazing staff. Room is just like pictures and they give you a free drink once, water daily, a welcome maté which you can make with hot water - there’s a kettle in the room, and I got a welcome chocolate. It’s also walking distance from downtown. Maybe like 10 mins walk. Area is very safe. Only negative thing is there’s no microwave in the entire hotel, so if you eat at a restaurant, don’t bother packing your leftovers to go. I literally begged to use their kitchen to warm up my expensive lamb leftovers but it was a no.

The property is quite nice with a beautiful view to the lake. The room was a bit small but otherwise fine, and the breakfast—which was included—was very good. Friendly and proficient staff.

The hotel has very good views. Unsure how star ratings work but I don't think it's not as high as its claimed. The breakfast is okay. The onsite restaurant is also great. It's a bit far from city center if you want to walk during night. But taxis are available. The staff is very helpful.

Hotel has great views. It is about a 1.5 mile walk to town. this was fine for us but may not be for everyone. The food in the hotel was excellent, and they packed us a great lunch for one of our tours.

The Esplendor was a really great hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to El Calafate! The staff was super friendly at the desk and in the restaurant, parking is easy, and it’s a quick walk from town but set back enough to be quiet. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well decorated. Really had an amazing stay!
