It’s in a beautiful location in a beautiful area. Perfect for our stay in Eugene.There is lots of space and the kitchen is very well appointed.Check in is as easy as it gets. Our flight into Portland arrived 12 hours late such that we didn’t get to the property until after midnight. We phoned the owner who made sure it was easy for us to get in. He also knew, but since we were getting in late, we wouldn’t have time to buy any food so he left food options for breakfast the next morning. The owner also told us to be careful and watch out for deer when coming in after dark. Indeed we saw three deer between the highway and the house. This was perfect for my family. The view is gorgeous. Easy stroll down to the river. Very quiet and peaceful. My only regret is that I forgot my binoculars. This is a birders paradise. A red shouldered hawk visited every day. The property is beautiful and well kept. There was lots of space for our family to spread out, comfy beds, and a clean home. We loved being out in the country, yet still close enough to town to do all the things within a 15 minute drive! You can walk to the lovely river nearby or swing by and say hi to Tom & his sweet wife at their Bed & Breakfast on the property below! We loved visiting with them! We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious and clean. It had everything that we needed. The outside grounds were very open and green with a path down to the river. Tom welcomed my family with a tour of his garden. He was accommodating and friendly. The property is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The view of the McKenzie River was so comforting (property has a deck). We had coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoons on that deck. We will be back! Thank you, Tom and Karen! Tom was a fun host and the access to the river is an easy quick walk or drive. We loved all of the windows and the deck with new grill, and all of the nature surrounding us! The property boasts a spacious 2-bedroom 1.5 bath barn-style guest house on a functional farm/Bed & Breakfast. The land is huge & walkable all the way to the McKenzie River. The pictures don’t do it justice. You will find the owner- Tom- as a kind gracious host. He even offered items from his garden & fruit trees. We stayed a week. Our fur kids enjoyed playing on the property especially on the river; they even chased a deer or two. The kitchen is perfect to cook our meals; it even has a griddle. This is open concept living at its best. The dining area is big & can accommodate a large gathering. The living space is equally as large with multiple comfortable seating options & a large 55-inch TV. Over the air channels coupled with Wi-Fi for apps leaves plenty of TV entertainment. From the couch, the McKenzie river can be seen thru the large patio doors leading to the balcony. The balcony is a nice place to relax; enjoy the sun; listen to nature; & view the stars. The main bedroom is big, cozy & very comfortable. We left the window open to fall asleep to the sounds of crickets singing. The main bath is also large & spacious with a washer & dryer. The second bedroom is downstairs & can function as a home office. The half bath is right across the hall. We will definitely stay here. We felt at home from day one as if we have been living here for years. Thank you Tom for this uniquely wonderful vacation experience. It was easy to relax and feel at home there. The house had everything we needed to make our stay easy and to cook what we wanted. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans,and much more. Beds were comfy and we slept great. The view and property is beautiful. Tom greeted us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and checked in during our stay to make sure we didn't need anything. There is lots of places to walk on with dogs and boy did they walk and run and play fetch. We will stay here again in the near future. Added bonus it is country feel with only a short drive to town, and major shopping centers. It was perfect for our family. We were so cozy, and the view of the McKenzie River was superb. The house is nestled next to a little creek that feeds into the river, and surrounded by beautiful, moss-covered trees. Lots of windows allow you to really take in the views. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need to cook a complete meal, and entertain a small group. Tom the host was very responsive and helpful, and also unobtrusive. Beautiful spot and house. Spacious with lots of light even on cloudy days. Wonderful views from the windows and an easy walk to the river, where you may just see some wild life. The kitchen is well equip, comfortable bed and great mood lighting. The hosts are friendly, respectful, easy to communicate with and add the little touches that make for a wonderful get away.
