"Excellent hotel, great location, restaurant, rooms and service. Nice view of the golf course. 1 mile flat walk to downtown. Perfect except the neighbors are noisy. We stayed in room 248. There was some kind of impromptu Irish step dancing going on directly above us from 6pm to 10pm and then again from 7am to 10am."

"The marquee stated, "Recently remodeled", so I was looking forward to our stay from the start. Everything looked great -- from the entryway to the room. New fixtures, new furniture, new carpet. Great! The breakfast offering was very good. However, there were some interior design features that were not so good: 1) The bathroom light switch was nowhere near the bathroom. 2) The sink stopper was not working. 3) There was only one chair. 4) There was no closet; only three wall hooks for hanging clothing. The front desk provided some coat hangers on request. 5) There was no ironing board or iron. The front desk offered to deliver them to the room, but we declined. In all, the staff was excellent, the room was okay. I question whether the price paid ($160+ per night) was worth the experience, but maybe I'm getting cheaper in my old age."

"We stayed in one of the 24 “rooms”, not the rented timeshares. While there are some updates, still could use some brightening up. First impression when we walked in, not a pleasant smell. Smelled old and dusty. We sprayed heavily with Lysol spray and helped some. Perhaps carpets need cleaned? Noticed dust hanging from vent in bathroom. I started getting a cold/snotty nose, had to wonder if from Restaurant was not bad, fries very good. Burnt ends hubby liked. Grilled chicken left something to be desired. All the employees were nice and helpful."

"Let's be clear about what this property is. It's an airport hotel. And it is just fine as that. But don't let the name fool you into thinking you are staying at any kind of mountain lodge. You aren't. We booked seven nights there so we could explore Montana and paid a hefty price per night. This was a week after Labor Day and our Expedia booked room rate was $350 to $400 depending on the particular night. That's awfully pricey for an airport hotel! It has no restaurant and no bar, and the closest place to eat or drink (other than the hotel included breakfast) was at least 15 minutes away. Also try to get an even numbered room as the odd numbers face the highway and the road noise was quite loud, especially in the wee hours of the morning. Due to a combination of factors we ended up leaving two nights early and of course, the hotel staff could not give us a refund because we booked through a "third party;" that being Expedia. So we lost out on about $750 that we had prepaid for two nights and couldn't get back. If we had booked directly through the hotel they said they could have given us the money back as we gave them plenty of notice that we wouldn't be staying the full seven nights. Lesson learned the hard way!"

"One of the criteria that I used in choosing the Red Lion was their having a hot tub. When we got there we found it was not functioning, and according to another guest (who frequently stays there due to business) that the hot tub had not been working for over 6 months. Very disappointing."

"It was the last hotel in Kalispell with a room which is not always a good thing. Room was remodeled. Shower was interestingly designed in a good way. Mexican Restaurant next door was awesome. Price right, available and room was clean and efficient."
